Frieda M. Hailey, 89, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Covanent Place in Burleson.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Burleson. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Greenwood.
Frieda was born Dec. 31, 1927, to Dietrich and Frida Reiners in Bremen, Germany. She met her husband, Charles R. Hailey, while working at the military base in Bremen. They were married on April 11, 1949. Frieda was very active socially with friends, her Sunday School class and church. She was very proud of and close to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 7, 1980.
Survivors include her brother, Herbert Reiners and wife, Karin, of Bremen, Germany; daughters, Janie Hommel, of Burleson, Carla Gartman and husband, Clyde, of Glen Rose, and Christine Henderson and husband, Bert, of Burleson; sons, Wesley Hailey and wife, Adriana, of Burleson, and James Hailey and wife, Michelle, of Rio Vista; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way; and four nieces.
