After a prolonged battle with lung cancer, Irene Belle Huff, 66, of Joshua, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, in Joshua.
She wished to be cremated. Her memorial service is 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in Burleson, Texas.
Irene was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Sept. 24, 1950, to Ruth and Willis Chandler. She grew up in a large family, with three sisters and four brothers.
Irene’s days were filled being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. When Irene was diagnosed with lung cancer, she remained a brave iron-willed woman throughout her final days.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, John Huff; son, John Huff; daughters, Stephanie Huff Perez and Deborah Warren; sister, Patricia Stockman; brothers, Hiram and Edward Chandler; god daughter, Arleth Fraga; foster daughter, Katherine Salih; granddaughters, Julia, Rachel and Emily; grandsons, Joshua, Richard, Anthony, John, Alexander, Ruben and Ethan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Harbor Hospice and Plaza Medical City for their wonderful care and excellent work.
