Michael Carl Robbins, a long-time resident of the Alvarado area, passed away in Hillsboro, Texas, Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at the age of 72.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date in January.

Born March 17, 1945, in Trumbull County, Ohio, to Phyllis and Carl Ray, Michael was later adopted by Robert Robbins. Mike grew up in Ohio and later moved to Texas. In 1964, he joined the Army, where he served his country honorably in the Military Police and Army Security Agency until 1968. Most of his military experience was spent in Mineral Wells and overseas in Japan. During his adult years, Mike was a business owner in Burleson, in which he took tremendous pride. Mike relished the friends he made during his time in business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis and Carl Ray; and brother, Jeff.

Survivors include his siblings, Patrick Robbins and Sue Burkey, from Warren, Ohio; son, Carl Ray Robbins and wife, Danielle, of Groesbeck, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Henry and husband, Mike, of Denton, Texas; daughter, Lori Rasey and husband, Jimmy, of Keller, Texas; grandchildren, Mikhayla Robbins, Clayton Robbins, Cecelia Robbins, Shayla Henry, Payton Henry, Jordyn Henry, Kayleigh Rasey and Reaghan Rasey; and many other family members and friends.
