Betty Jane Vanegas, 83, joined her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, following a long illness.
The memorial service was Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Oak Grove Baptist Church,12351 Oak Grove Rd. S., Burleson, TX 76028.Betty loved her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and spending time with her family and friends at the lake. Betty also loved listening and dancing to country music; she would throw back the rug and dance in the living room. She was born to Houston and Ida Pearl Jones on July 1, 1935, in Corpus Christi, Texas. However, she lived in Fort Worth, Burleson and New Mexico most of her life.A very hard worker, Betty held a variety of occupations, including food service, assembly work, retail management and home health. She was proceeded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tina Louise McClure; brother, Otis Jones; and son, Preston Clements.Survivors include her daughter, Ginger Robinson, of Burleson; sons, Dee Garrett and wife, Twila, of Everman, and Mike Clements and wife, Elaina, of Joshua; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of many friends.The family wishes to thank the CNAs and nurses at Trinity Mission Nursing home for the loving care they showed their mother and brother, Preston, during their residence there.
