Rose Mary Grant Abshire was born Sept. 6, 1936, in Columbia, Tennessee. She was the fifth of six children by W.Y.C. Grant, Jr. and Ruby Mae Parker Grant.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, in the CKV Alvarado chapel. Visitation was Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at the CKV Alvarado chapel.
She was preceded in death by husband, Albert Freeman Abshire; siblings, Julia Grant Prentice, Helen Grant Byrd, Evelyn Grant Agnew, William Grant, and Patricia Grant Vegalahn; and granddaughter, Laura Lynn Lewis.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Abshire Lewis and husband, Ricky; son, Albert Abshire Jr. and wife, Becky; grandchildren, Ricky, Reggie, Walter, William Lewis, Albert Abshire III, and Kristin Abshire; as well as 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
