Jerome F. Harry, 85, of Godley, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017, in Ft. Worth.

Jerome was born April 5, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, to August and Eleanor Machowick Harry. He married Hildegard Luise Sand on May 8, 1958, in Zweibrucken, Germany, and she preceded him in death on March 28, 2008.

Mr. Harry worked as a munitions specialist with the Department of Army for 15 years and was a retired MSgt. U.S. Air Force, retiring with 20 years of service.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Richard, Eleanor and Kathryn.

Joe Green, 79, of Burleson, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017.

Joe was born March 15, 1938, in Burleson, to Guy and Ada (Wicker) Green. He graduated Burleson High School in 1956. Joe liked fishing, woodworking, and he loved to help people. He worked two jobs for 17 years. Joe spent a good part of his life as a caretaker for three cemeteries. He retired after 43 years with Union Pacific Railroad while holding a perfect safety record. Joe was the oldest member of Bethesda Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, W.C. Green and Bob Green.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Green, of Burleson; son, James M. Green; daughters, Tina S. Green, Shelly M. Newell, and Rebecca F. Moore; step-son, Carey L. Thoms; sister, Mary L. Pancho was born Jan. 28, 1962, in Denver, Colorado. He was a loving husband to a loving wife. Pancho was an avid Cowboys fan, who enjoyed fishing with his sons-in-law. He considered his family and grandkids his “world”, and he loved spending holidays and celebrations with them. Pancho coached children’s baseball for many years. He liked playing guitars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Martina (Sanchez) Villa.

Pat R. (Faris) Wooten, 85, formerly of Burleson and Amarillo, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017.

Pat was born April 10, 1931, in Ballinger, to Lottie Webster and Ollie Halstead Faris. She was drum majorette in High School. Pat married Ernie Wooten in July of 1964. They were married for 48 years.

She and Ernie enjoyed their 5^th wheel travels, going to trap shoots (clay targets), but the hobby she liked most was shopping. Pat was considered a “pro” amongst her shopping friends.

Pat was lovingly cared for by the staff at Town Hall Estates in Keene for almost five years. Her family and friends are so grateful for the love they showed Pat.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernie Wooten; brother, L.W Faris; and sisters, Eugie Flynt and Juanita Russell.

Donna Jo Kinsey, 67, of Burleson, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 10, 2017, in the presence of her loving family.

Donna was born January 1st, 1950, in Haskell Texas. She grew up in Lubbock Texas, where she attended high school, and was later married to Danny Kinsey. They had two beautiful children named John and Jamie. She worked for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, where she retired.

She was always an avid reader, and loved spending time with friends and family.

Her family would like to thank the many caregivers at Vitas Hospice, who helped her

throughout her battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Danny L. Kinsey;

her mother, Janie Wilkenson, as well as her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Fate and Idell Kinsey.

Merwin Ernest Beckwith, 92, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017.

Merwin was born December 10, 1924 in Cuyler, New York, to Ernest and Gertrude (Owens) Beckwith. He and Jean were married on August 17, 1945, in Norwich, New York. They were married for 64 years before her passing. He retired from General Dynamics in Ft. Worth. His hobbies included woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, and spreading the word about Jesus.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dixie Jean (Hardgrove) Beckwith; and daughter, Toni Beckwith Landers.

David Chester McDonough, 74, passed from this earth and joined Jesus Christ on Friday, March 31, 2017, at his home in Burleson, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date

David was born November 18, 1942, in Mason City, Iowa, to the late Vern and Maxine McDonough. He married Sharlene Kurtz in November of 1967 in Iowa City, Iowa, and she preceded him in death. David married Ann Lyons in April of 1992 in Burleson, Texas, and she preceded him in death. David was also preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle, at birth.

He graduated from Mason City High School, Mason City, Iowa, in the class of 1960. After graduating, he attended community college in Mason City, Iowa, and American Institute of Business, Des Moines, Iowa, with a bachelor degree in Business Administration.

David was involved in real estate sales for several years with his father, Vern, in Iowa. David managed tire stores for over 30 years.

He enjoyed boating, skiing, fishing, golfing, as well as dancing and bowling in his earlier years. David was active in the Burleson Rotary Club.

Survivors include his son, Michael McDonough, of Burleson; and his sister, Susan Claycomb, of Mason City, Iowa.

Aransas Pass- Jerrid Edgar Haskin I, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was 64.

All services will be private.

Jerrid was born in Springfield, Missouri, on June 18, 1952, to James and Arlene (Ware) Haskin. He was a resident of Aransas Pass, Texas, but enjoyed traveling in his RV. Jerrid was a former Tug Boat Captain for most of his life.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Haskin.

William “Bill” Howard Menkins, 78, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at his home in Joshua, Texas, after a long illness.

He was born on September 4, 1938, to Harrison and Marcia (Middleton) Menkins, in Syracuse, New York. Bill graduated from Onondaga High School in 1956 and enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly afterward.  In the Army, he rose to the rank of First Sergeant, served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and retired after 27 years.  In Vietnam, Bill was a member of the Special Forces (Green Beret), was wounded in combat, and was awarded the Purple Heart. Bill also received the Bronze Star in addition to numerous other medals and awards throughout his career.‬

Bill loved cars, and enjoyed reading, and joking with family and friends.  He will be laid to rest at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

Bill’s parents, Harrison and Marcia; and brother, Richard Menkins, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Yvonne; his daughters, Deborah Menkins (Mark Orabuena), of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lori (Christopher) Huber, of Jamesport, New York, and Patty (Carlos) Casillas, of Joshua, Texas; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Thomas, Matthew, Sydney and Cainan. He is also survived by his brother, Carl “Skip” Menkins; and his sisters, Lynda Boylan, and Kathleen Thornton.

Burleson -- Albert Lee Bransom passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Albert was born Nov. 25, 1959, to JB and Dorothy Bransom, who proceeded him in death. He attended school and resided in Burleson his entire life. Albert owned Bransom Excavation, was employed by Texas Steel, and, in later years, was a truck driver in the oil and gas industry. He loved riding motorcycles, and hunting, but his favorite hobby was fishing at Lake Fork.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Danny Bransom and Charlie Bransom.

Survivors include his son, Brian Joseph Bransom; brothers, Jimmy Bransom and Eddy Bransom; and Mark Grabel, who he considered a brother; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dortha M. Murphy, 93, of Burleson, passed away Wednesday, May 3 2017, in Burleson.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2017, at Burleson Church of Christ, with Karl Jones officiating.
Dortha was born in Terral, Oklahoma, to Charles and Clemmie Howard on Aug. 27, 1923. She went to school at Waurika, Oklahoma. She married Lloyd Morgan on October 11, 1941 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Lloyd preceded her in death 1997.
In 1998, Dortha married LD White, and he preceded her in in death in 1999. Dortha married Earl Murphy in 2000 and Earl preceded her in death 2005.
She worked as a nurse for several doctors for number of years. Dortha was an active member of the Burleson Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughter, Brenda Wright and husband, Charley; daughter, Janice Bradford and husband, Carl; son, Don Morgan and wife, Delores; 10 grandchildren; 24 grea-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Ruby Lyle and husband, Bob; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Burleson.

Doris was born February 21, 1926, in Johnson County, to James and Alma Grisso Stephens.

Caroline Olivia Marshall was welcomed into this world on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 6:05 a.m.  She was 4 pounds and 15 ounces. Caroline was 18½ inches long and absolutely beautiful.  She went home to her Heavenly Father at 8:30 a.m.

A private graveside service was held on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Caddo Grove Cemetery.
