Ralph passed at home quietly and peacefully, wrapped in the arms of family, on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016.
Memorial services will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Crowley on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. A Military Honors Committal service will be held at The DFW National Cemetery on a date to be announced.
Ralph was a 28 year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He served multiple tours in combat in Korea and Vietnam. He was beloved by a multitude of family members, friends and neighbors.
He was predeceased by his father, Ralph Smith Sr. and his mother, Madeline Chadwick.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of forty-eight years, Lavada Sue Smith; his loving children, Mike, Marion, David, Amy and Michael Beagle, Kristi Moore, Michelle Davis, and Mark Smith, and their families, including grandchildren, Kristy, Matthew, Hunter, Cheyenne, Paige and J.D.; his sister, Betty Bellew and his brother, Victor Smith, and their families.
