Douglas Hammond was born Nov. 7, 1937 and passed away Dec. 22, 2016.
The family received friends from 12-2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at the funeral home. Funeral Services followed the visitation at 2:00 p.m. in the Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
After serving in the United States Marine Corp, Douglas worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He lived out his dream when he opened up KD Hamburgers in Waco, Texas. Douglas later enjoyed being a part of the Masonic Lodge as well as painting and art.
Douglas is preceded in death by parents, Gordon and Vincent Hammond.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Carolyn Hammond; children, Jerry Dale Watts, Terry Allan Watts, Carol Verhey, Cathy Green, Douglas Hammond, Jr., and Mark Allen Hammond; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Frances Anthony and Patricia Burning.
